Our commitment to sustainable, energy-efficient design means that
Big Ass fans can produce energy savings of up to 30 percent during

the summer and winter months. For residential and commercial
spaces, our fans provide relative cooling during the summer and fight
against destratification by keeping heat at the occupant level during
the winter. Residences see the benefit in their energy bills, since our

fans require little power to provide tremendous comfort. No fan better
demonstrates this than Haiku, our flagship residential fan. When in

Eco mode, Haiku is the world’s most energy-efficient fan.

It’s this commitment to energy-efficiency that drew the attention of
Maui Brewing Company. Since 2013 they’ve been using Big Ass fans

alongside other efforts such as solar power to reach their goal of 100%
sustainable manufacturing. Maui Brewing Co. CEO Garrett Marrero
says that the fans’ relative cooling and low energy consumption have

helped them achieve the ideal energy-efficient facility.

“Our Big Ass fans move air around the brewery, helping keep our

teammates cool,” said Marrero. “Throughout our office and retail
space we have many Haiku fans which have allowed us to keep those
areas cooler and set the AC temperatures a few degrees higher than

without.”

Marrero says that the higher AC set point at their brewery leads to a
decrease in electrical consumption and makes it possible for them to

maintain their sustainability goal.

“With our organization’s commitment to renewable energy—operating

primarily on solar energy and battery—we’re able to lead in sustainable
manufacturing.”
